Val K - LMSW - Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Originally from Oregon, Val moved to Williston in 2012 and has proudly called the community home ever since. She graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2019 and has been a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) since 2021.

For the past 10 years, she has worked in Child Welfare, gaining extensive experience supporting children and families through challenging situations. Prior to that, she built a diverse professional background working in the nonprofit sector, as well as in office administration and human resources, giving her a well-rounded professional background.

At home, she and her teenage son share their lives with a lively group of pets, including their German Shepherd, Joy; Dutch Shepherd, Lucy; two cats, Ninja and Jasper; and a flock of 10 chickens affectionately known as "The Ladies."

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, cooking, playing board and card games, and cheering on her son in his activities.
